Waste Recycling Legislation
The Environmental Protection Act (1990) imposes a Duty of Care on the handling of waste, which affects anyone who:
or disposes of controlled waste
The primary onus of responsibility for the handling of waste is on the waste producer, who must ensure that wastes are stored securely and that they are transferred to an "authorised" person only.
Any waste transfer must be accompanied by a written waste transfer note in which the waste is sufficiently and accurately described.
Waste Recycling Bath is a fully licensed professional waste carrier and is authorised by the Environmental Agency to accept all construction and demolition waste streams.
We pride ourselves in making every effort to work with our customers to help them comply with all relevant waste management legislation.
